How to Become a High School Equivalency Testing Center
The Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) has authorized ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ to contract with GED Testing Service to provide the GED test for individuals to earn the Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency (TxCHSE). Tests may only be administered by ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ-authorized testing centers under Texas Administrative Code Official Testing Centers.
NOTE: Educational Testing Service (ETS) notified ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ and the SBOE that they would not administer the HiSET test in Texas after 8/31/2021. The last day to take a HiSET test in Texas was 8/31/2021.
To request approval to administer GED exams in your testing center, please complete the . Upon approval, your information will be provided to Pearson VUE/GED Testing Service to assist them in initiating the contracting process with your test center.
